About Squadron 555 (AL)
Our Squadron consists of male descendants of veterans of the United States Armed Forces. We work together to promote Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation, Americanism, Children & Youth programs, and National Security - known as The Four Pillars of The Legion Family.
Squadron 555 was established in Spring of 2016 and received its charter on November 9, 2016, with fifteen charter members. Today, we have grown to dozens of members, actively participating and holding officer & chair positions at all levels from the Squadron & Post to District to Detachment.
The Squadron actively supports many efforts including the Child Wellbeing Foundation, Operation Comfort Warriors, USA250 & 100 Miles for Hope Programs, and the annual Christmas Family Project. Squadron 555 participate in events and activites of local and regional patriotic and Veteran-oriented projects and groups, including maintaining organizational membership in Blue Star Salute Foundation.

A Legacy of Service
Sons of The American Legion
Born out of the 1932 National Convention in Portland, Oregon, the Sons of The American Legion was established to ensure the legacy of service remains a multi-generational mission. As a core member of The American Legion Family, we serve alongside Family members to strengthen the four pillars of our organization - Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation, Americanism, Children & Youth, and National Security - through a "Legacy of Service."
Our purpose is rooted in the SAL Ten Ideals and we strive for excellence through the Five-Point Program of Service, focusing on the growth and well-being of our youth, our veterans, and our communities.
